2 Construction Stormwater Best Management Practices (BMPs)
The SWPPP is a living document reflecting current conditions and changes throughout the life
of the project. These changes may be informal (i.e., hand-written notes and deletions). Update
the SWPPP when the CESCL has noted a deficiency in BMPs or deviation from original design.
2.1 The 13 Elements
2.1.1 Element 1: Preserve Vegetation / Mark Clearing Limits
List and describe BMPs:
' • BMP C102: Buffer Zones
• BMP C103: High Visibility Plastic or Metal Fence
Creation of an undisturbed area or strip of natural vegetation or an established suitable planting
that will provide a living filter to reduce soil erosion and runoff velocities. Areas around the site
have been identified in the plans as areas for new planting and vegetation.
' Fencing is intended to restrict clearing to approved limits and to limit construction traffic to
designated construction entrance and exit. As construction work progresses, the contractor shall
' update the fencing limits as necessary to maintain site safety and security while allowing for
continuous pedestrian and vehicular access around the site to the maximum extent practicable.
Installation Schedules: Prior to earthmoving.
Inspection and Maintenance plan: Per current edition of City of Everett Stormwater
Management Manual.
Responsible Staff: CESCL
' Page 16
