Landau Associates <br />• <br />Coordinating environmental and geotechnical services and providing consultation to the <br />' <br />project team as the designs of the proposed projects progress. <br />• <br />Reviewing the 30 percent plans for roads and utilities developed by others as well as existing <br />environmental data for the site in order to identify the need to incorporate approaches into <br />the project design that address the potential of encountering contaminated soil and <br />groundwater during construction. <br />• <br />• <br />Preparing a soil and groundwater management plan for the project. <br />Reviewing readily available geologic, geotechnical, and topographic information for the <br />project area. <br />0 <br />Developing an exploration plan. <br />• <br />Arranging for underground utility location prior to performing field activities. <br />1 <br />• <br />Arranging for a private utility locating company to check for the presence of subsurface <br />utilities prior to performing field activities. <br />• <br />Advancing a series of exploratory test pits and exploratory borings to characterize soil and <br />groundwater conditions at the project site. <br />• <br />Collecting representative soil samples at selected depth intervals. <br />• <br />Logging the explorations and recording pertinent information, including soil sample depths, <br />stratigraphy, soil engineering characteristics, and groundwater occurrence. <br />• <br />Conducting a geotechnical laboratory testing program. <br />• <br />Performing geotechnical engineering analyses and evaluating data derived from the <br />subsurface investigation and laboratory testing program. <br />' <br />• <br />Developing geotechnical engineering conclusions and recommendations to support design <br />and construction of the proposed improvements. <br />• <br />Preparing and submitting this written report summarizing our findings, conclusions, and <br />recommendations for the project.
