State of Washington Department of Ecology Page 7 of 22 <br /> Agreement No: SWMLSWFA-2021-EverPW-00086 <br /> Project Title: IMP City of Everett <br /> Recipient Name: CITY OF EVERETT <br /> SCOPE OF WORK <br /> Task Number: 1 Task Cost: $150,268.00 <br /> Task Title: CROP Residential Recycling/Waste Prevention <br /> Task Description: <br /> RECIPIENT will reduce contamination and promote waste reduction and recycling (WRR)for residents across the City of <br /> Everett. This Task work will primarily target multi-family properties,public areas and events, and some targeted businesses. <br /> Activity: Contamination Reduction <br /> For multi-family properties,RECIPIENT will: <br /> •Collaborate with property managers and owners of approximately 40 multi-family properties. <br /> •Provide technical assistance and supplies to encourage properties to organize new or improve existing WRR programs. <br /> •Collaborate with service providers to understand and troubleshoot issues related to recycling and organics contamination. <br /> •Update and distribute recycling,garbage,compost,and contamination reduction outreach materials,creating multi-lingual <br /> pieces where appropriate. <br /> For schools,RECIPIENT will: <br /> • Work with interested schools and their service providers to troubleshoot existing barriers. <br /> • Provide schools with technical support,limited supplies,and informational materials. <br /> Activity:Public Events Recycling <br /> RECIPIENT will: <br /> •Promote and expand its ClearStream container check-out program. <br /> •Target special event coordinators,develop promotional materials,provide technical assistance on how to use the containers, <br /> and measure the material deposited in the containers through the check-in process. <br /> Activity:Waste Reduction <br /> RECIPIENT will: <br /> •Collaborate with the Downtown Everett Association(DEA)to determine the most effective locations for recycling bins and <br /> ensure they are co-located with public garbage containers,provide technical assistance,bins,and supplies to increase use of <br /> recycling containers, and may provide reimbursement for monthly service of recycle containers when the container is provided <br /> for the public. <br /> •Identify additional opportunities to increase recycling and composting in public areas within and outside of the DEA service <br /> area. <br /> •Provide technical assistance to support the development of new WRR programs at local businesses. Supplies may be <br /> provided on a limited basis,including service fees for new services. <br /> •Administer City-wide outreach for the statewide single-use plastic bag ban by providing printed and electronic materials to <br /> inform the public on choices and tips for compliance. <br /> In accordance with provisions 3 and 19 of the General Terms and Conditions of this Agreement,RECIPIENT is encouraged to <br /> work with their Ecology grant manager when developing promotional materials,and must provide a draft copy for review and <br /> approval 10 business days prior to production and distribution of materials. <br /> Template Version 12/10/2020 <br />
