State of Washington Department of Ecology Page 8 of 22 <br /> Agreement No: SWMLSWFA-2021-EverPW-00086 <br /> Project Title: IMP City of Everett <br /> Recipient Name: CITY OF EVERETT <br /> EXPECTED TASK COSTS <br /> Costs eligible for reimbursement with supporting documentation include: <br /> •RECIPIENT employee time to implement Task work. <br /> •Contractor time for assistance with waste reduction and multi-family Task Work. <br /> •Costs to develop,print,purchase,and distribute promotional and educational materials including WRR supplies such as bins <br /> and lids for public areas. <br /> •Limited service charges for public areas recycling and new participant businesses. <br /> •Costs not listed here but pre-approved in writing by ECOLOGY. <br /> Costs not eligible for reimbursement: <br /> • Overtime compensation(all hours are calculated at the regular rate of pay). <br /> •Items intended as incentives or to giveaway that are not pre-approved in writing by ECOLOGY. <br /> • Costs not specifically identified in the task's scope of work or pre-approved in writing by ECOLOGY. <br /> Task Goal Statement: <br /> To increase waste reduction and recycling to benefit the City and the environment within multi-family properties,in public <br /> spaces,and at events for the public. <br /> Task Expected Outcome: <br /> With the Task Cost,RECIPIENT anticipates collecting 74 tons of materials for recycling,reducing contamination at <br /> multi-family properties by 2 tons,and spending 1,700 employee hours to implement task work. <br /> To measure contamination reduction at multi-family properties: <br /> RECIPIENT will monitor dumpsters by conducting lid-lift audits and utilize information reported by the service providers to <br /> assess the change in amount of recycling contamination due to outreach efforts.In accordance with LSWFA guidelines, <br /> RECIPIENT will establish a baseline of contamination and monitor contamination reduction after the outreach intervention. <br /> RECIPIENT will convert contamination reduction from volume to weight. <br /> To measure materials collected for recycling at public events: <br /> RECIPIENT will use the ClearStream container check-in process to measure and report the pounds of recycling collected <br /> from each event that would have otherwise been landfilled. <br /> To measure materials collected for recycling in public areas and from businesses: <br /> RECIPIENT will evaluate recycling increases in existing containers by comparing current and previous collection amounts, <br /> while contributions from new containers may be directly added as an increase. RECIPIENT will report the weight of the <br /> materials diverted from the waste stream based on conversion factors from`Measurement Standards for Solid Waste and <br /> Recovered Materials'by ECOLOGY. <br /> Template Version 12/10/2020 <br />
