INTERLOCAL COOPERATIVE AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF EVERETT AND EVERETT PUBLIC SCHOOLS CONCERNING THE EVERETT CAREER LINK PROGRAM AND ENGAGING ECONOMIC ALLIANCE SNOHOMISH COUNTY THIS AGREEMENT made and entered into by and between the City of Everett, hereinafter referred to as the "City", Economic Alliance Snohomish County, hereinafter referred to as the "Alliance", and Everett Public Schools, hereinafter referred to as the "District", provides terms and conditions for certain allocation of resources related to the Everett Career Link internship program and engaging the Alliance as Regional Intermediary as defined herein. WHEREAS, the City, the Alliance and the District have vested interests in a regional high school internship program and have worked together to launch the high school internship program, Everett Career Link; and WHEREAS, the City and the District have worked together in the Everett Career Link program wherein the District previously contracted with a consultant to provide intermediary services to create career connected learning opportunities; and WHEREAS, the Alliance has the resources and networks to provide the intermediary services required to create internship opportunities within Everett; and WHEREAS, RCW 39.34, the Interlocal Cooperation Act, permits local governmental units to make the most efficient use of their powers by enabling them to cooperate with other localities on a basis of mutual advantage; and WHEREAS, the District and the City wish to continue to provide funding for the Everett Career Link program for Everett, Henry M. Jackson, and Cascade High Schools in order to help promote high school internship opportunities; and WHEREAS, by virtue of this Agreement, the parties desire to create high school internship opportunities within the City of Everett; NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration of the terms, conditions or obligations and mutual benefits of the Agreement, the parties agree as follows:
