The proposed Ordinance will amend and <br />close the special improvement project entitled "Everett Fire Administration Building <br />Tenant Improvements Project". Ordinance No. 3661-19 provided a funding amount of <br />$100,000 for design services for the project. Ordinance No. 3764-20 provided an <br />amended funding amount of $1,600,000 for funding additional design services and <br />construction. The Closing Ordinance will amend the funding amount to $1,625,074 to <br />capture the additional costs required for a new emergency generator electrical transfer <br />switch system. All expenses for the project have been paid. <br />Project summary statement: <br />The Everett Fire Administration Building Tenant Improvements included relocating Fire <br />Administrative staff from the seventh floor of the Everett Municipal Building to the <br />renovated Fire Administration Building located at 2801 Oakes Avenue. The Everett Fire <br />Administration Building Tenant Improvements included office space renovation on the <br />1st and 2nd floors; a 1st floor ADA restroom; addition of a 3-phase electrical power <br />requirement, mechanical systems, phone and data system; 1st and 2nd floor historic <br />preservation windows replacements, historic preservation garage door replacements, <br />and a new emergency electrical generator transfer switch. <br />All work has been completed to the satisfaction of the Parks and Facilities Department. <br />Recommendation (exact action requested of Council): <br />Adopt an Ordinance amending and closing the special construction fund entitled <br />"Everett Fire Administration Building Tenant Improvements Project", Fund 342, Program <br />027, as established by Ordinance No. 3661-19, and amended by Ordinance 3764-20. <br />
