City of Everett Water Treatment Plant Portal 4 Improvements I Scope of Work • Native material acceptance test results. • Proctor tests for all materials to be compacted. Task 603 Surveying Services Activities/Approach: Provide surveying services in support of the Portal 4 Improvements design. Survey area 1 encompasses the new valve/vault area at the bottom of the slope out to the tree line. Survey area 2 encompasses the area around the Portal 4 structure up to the hillside and to the top of the slope. This section summarizes the work to be completed under Task 602. Attachment B presents the full scope of work for these services. • Perform topographic field survey • Provide topographic map of the Portal 4 area within survey areas 1 and 2. This task includes locating and identifying existing utilities, improvements, man-made features, roadways, boundaries, critical elevations, existing structures, natural features, and grades within the limits of work. The field survey shall include enough detail to produce a base map with boundary information, contours, and other topographic information. • Establish horizontal and vertical control points based on the project's control system and information for contract documents including survey points, a basis of bearing, benchmarks for vertical control, and datum information for development of base mapping. • Provide pothole surveys to located buried transmission lines 2, 3, 4, and the 36-inch diameter waste line. • Provide an equation to convert elevations from the 1988 NAVD and the 1929 NGVD datums for the site to allow for conversion of elevation callouts from older drawing sets. Everett Responsibilities • Provide the necessary staffing and resources to support field work conducted by survey crews. • Provide all available ROW, utility records, and GIS files one (1) week prior to field work. Task Assumptions • The survey information will be prepared under the direction of a registered professional land surveyor. • Survey will provide NAD-1983 for northing (y) and easting (x) horizontal reference. • Survey will provide NAVD-1988 for vertical references based on project requirements tied to local county benchmarks. • Work products will be provided in a digital format. • Surveying subconsultant will have access to the site as necessary to complete work. • Amendment 1 budget includes surveying fees not covered by the December 3, 2021, budget reallocations. Meetings • Two site visits by surveying subconsultant. Work Products • Surveyor to provide electronic drawing files with surveyor's sign and seal. Electronic deliverables to include 2D basemap and 3D surface DRM of Portal 4 site. Task 604 Corrosion Condition Inspection Activities/Approach: Provide condition inspection services to investigate the corroded steel members located in the Portal 4 channel. The following subconsultant services will be provided by Corrosion Probe Incorporated (CPI). Attachment C presents these full scope of services. Page 11 of 13
