5. If an employee is exhibiting any signs or symptoms of COVID-19 during a symptom-check, <br /> that employee shall immediately don a surgical mask or fitted N95 mask(without exhalation <br /> valve preferred,masks with exhalation valve shall have the exhalation valve closed and <br /> inoperable),wash their hands,and notify their immediate supervisor. The employee shall <br /> fill out the appropriate Washington State Labor&Industries Report of Industrial Injury or <br /> Occupational Disease paperwork and contact the Department Health and Safety Officer <br /> (HSO)for further direction. <br /> 6. The City will make available the number of employees quarantined or isolated upon request. <br /> The City shall not release the names of employees who are quarantined/isolated. <br /> 7. In the event that any employee,who is a candidate for a promotional test,is quarantined/ <br /> isolated on an actual promotional test date(written or practical),that portion of the <br /> promotional test shall not occur for all candidates and the City and Union will meet to <br /> determine a later date for the test to occur. Dates of eligibility for promotional lists shall be <br /> extended by an amount of time equal to the amount of additional days required to hold the <br /> rescheduled test.The City and Union agree that a long-term actor may be assigned for a <br /> time period in excess of normal agreed to limits. <br /> 8. Division Chiefs compensatory time shall be raised from 80 hours to 100 hours to allow <br /> further flexibility for the department to assign them to immediately pressing needs. <br /> 9. Vacations may be cancelled,and the annual vacation carryover shall be raised to 481 hours. <br /> Any employees whose vacation is cancelled by EFD,will have those hours added to their <br /> vacation bank, and their individual vacation cap raised. <br /> 10. 'l he annual sick leave incentive program for the(A A will t e suspended and pay pru-ra eu <br /> as of 3/15/2020 and will return when this COVID-19 emergency declaration is over. <br /> 11.Local 46 agrees for members to be placed in assignments that would have them work out of <br /> classification for the duration of this emergency to facilitate staffing when otherwise those <br /> positions could not be filled by overtime employees.Determination for temporary working <br /> out of classification will be determined by the Assistant Chief of Operations. Permanent <br /> promotions will still occur via the normal Civil Service process. <br /> The parties agree that this COVID-19 situation is unprecedented and that many additional issues <br /> may arise as time goes on. The parties will communicate on a going forward basis and will <br /> pursue further agreements as needed to deal with the issue and others related to the current <br /> pandemic. <br /> The parties agree that this letter of understanding shall remain in effect until the Governor lifts <br /> the State of Emergency Proclamation,20-05. <br /> Dated this - day of April 2020. <br />
