ESA
Task and Deliverables
Budget
• hands-on and/or virtual training support of City crew with field data
collection including equipment, digital field forms, interpretation of
the required fields
• data management and synchronization following field collection
Deliverables:
• SOP for field data collection
• Field data collection training materials for field staff
• Updates/enhancements/new form development for ESRI Field Map
forms and companion web map
• Field training on culvert assessment methods (Level A and Level B)
Assumptions:
• ESA will provide the support in this task to the level available in the
budget ($20,000). ESA will communicate regularly with the City
about progress on task activities and how it relates to budget status
to adaptively make decisions on how to process on the remaining
activities in the task.
3
GIS-based Prioritization
$20,000
ESA will prepare the GIS files for use in the fish passage prioritization and
implement a GIS-based fish passage prioritization, based on the prioritization
framework developed in 2021. The prioritization will include an evaluation of
the prioritization framework parameters and their feasibility based on
available data and resources (i.e. - species presence, barrier severity,
presence and severity of downstream barriers, etc.). We will then run a GIS
analysis on the parameters for which there is supporting data since the
ongoing field data collection will continue beyond 2022. The outcome will be
a preliminary identification of the highest priority barriers and inform
decisions on which barriers to address.
Deliverables:
• Technical memorandum describing GIS analysis methods and results
along with a description of data gaps and process to update the
prioritization when data becomes available
• Updated Geodatabase with added prioritization fields
4
(Contingency) Additional Fish Passage Improvement Program Support
$5,000
Services At the written request of the City, ESA will provide additional
technical assistance support for the fish passage program up to $5,000 of staff
time and related expenses.
Deliverables: Dependent on task requested.
