This email will serve as the review letter. We
will need two sets of updated drawings as needed to address the comments. Please include an itemized response letter
addressing the comments. Structural calculations should be provided as needed to substantiate the design.
1. The freezer is a prefabricated system that will be located outside. Documentation substantiating that the unit is
designed for the local design loading criteria, including but not limited to wind and snow.
2. The drawings appear to indicate that a concrete foundation is required under the freezer, but the drawings do
not show the construction. Structural plans, details, and material requirements should be provided. Note that
these type of systems can freeze the ground below over time, causing heaving. Verify that the foundation is
adequate to prevent this from occurring.
Please let me know if you have questions.
_ Drew Martin, P.E., S.E.
- Associate Engineer —Commercial Plans Examiner I Permit Services
425.257.8813 13200 Cedar Street, 2"d Floor, Everett, WA 98201
EVERETT Hours: M/W/Th/F: 7:30am-12:00pm & 1:00pm-3:00pm; Tu: 1:00pm-3:00pm
everettwa.gov I Facebook I Twitter
