February 23, 2022 <br /> The regular meeting of the Everett City Council was called to order at 12:30 p.m., <br /> February 23, 2022, by President Stonecipher. <br /> Upon roll call, it was found that Mayor Franklin and Council Members Tuohy, <br /> Vogeli, Rhyne, Schwab, Zarlingo, Fosse, and President Stonecipher were present. <br /> Council Member Zarlingo led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> On behalf of the City Council, President Stonecipher acknowledged the original <br /> inhabitants of this place, the sduhubs people and their successors, the Tulalip <br /> Tribes. <br /> APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br /> The minutes of February 16, 2022, were approved as printed. <br /> MAYOR <br /> Mayor Franklin recommended that the following applicants be appointed to a City <br /> of Everett Board or Commission. Each candidate has been interviewed by staff. <br /> With each appointment recommendation, equity, geographic location, diversity <br /> of thought, and applicable background was taken into consideration. <br /> APPOINTMENTS/RE-APPOINTMENTS <br /> Moved by Council Member Fosse, seconded by Council Member Tuohy, to <br /> concur with the following appointments: <br /> Planning Commission <br /> • POS 1, Kevin Ballard: 6—year term <br /> • POS 3, Demi Chatters: 6—year term <br /> Council Members thanked the newly appointed committee members for their <br /> willingness to serve the City and community. <br /> 1 <br />
