City of Everett Water Treatment Plant Portal 4 Improvements I Scope of Work <br /> • Respond to technical RFIs during construction related to the consultant team's design. <br /> • Conduct site visits to verify construction progress and/or provide input on proiect RFIs <br /> responses. <br /> • Provide IBC required structural observations during construction. <br /> Everett Responsibilities <br /> • Assist BC with the execution of all bidding activities, including management of bid <br /> advertisement, distribution of bid documents and bid addenda to potential bidders and plan <br /> centers, management of plan holders list, conduct pre-bid meeting and management of bidder <br /> questions to convey to BC for including in Bid Addenda. <br /> • Lead negotiations with the recommended contractor selected for bid award. <br /> Task Assumptions <br /> • Total of 4 bidder questions. <br /> • Total of 1 addendum, consisting of up to 4 updates to drawings or specifications. <br /> • Total of 12 submittals <br /> • Total of 11 RFIs <br /> • Total of 2 site visits attended by two BC staff each during construction. <br /> • Contractor will provide redlined drawings sufficient to convey changes made during construction. <br /> Meetings <br /> • One pre-bid meeting, attended by one BC staff person, with a duration of two hours. <br /> • Two site visits during construction, attended by two BC staff, with a duration of two hours on site. <br /> Work Products <br /> • Question,submittal, and RFI responses in Word or PDF format. <br /> • Drawing markups for addendas in PDF format(using a pdf editor or photo markups to clarify <br /> design intent). <br /> • Conformed drawings and specifications in PDF format with addenda changes incorporated in <br /> native CAD files. <br /> • Contractor's redlines record drawings with Engineer's annotations in PDF format. <br /> Task 800 Unanticipated Services <br /> Objective: Provide budget allowance for potential additional work requested by the City. <br /> Activities/Approach:To be determined, based on City requests. No work will be completed under this <br /> task without written direction from the City.The budgeted amount for unanticipated services is <br /> estimated as 5 percent of the total consulting services contract amount with Amendment 1. <br /> Everett Responsibilities <br /> • Provide direction and authorization for requested additional work. <br /> Work Products <br /> • To be determined. <br /> Task Assumptions <br /> • BC will prepare a Proiect Change Request(PCR) describing each additional and identifiable task <br /> under this allowance.The PCR will include a short description of the added scope with budget to <br /> be authorized prior to proceeding, unless otherwise directed in writing by the City. <br /> Page 13 of 13 <br />
