• Review available design, construction, and operational information about the structure. <br /> • Visit the WFP to perform inspection and assessment of concrete and embedded steel members <br /> within Portal 4. Site visit activities include the followingj <br /> o Probe deteriorated areas of concrete surfaces and measured for cement paste loss and pH <br /> measurements will be taken as appropriate. <br /> o Collect concrete powder samples for subsequent laboratory analysis, as warranted by the <br /> above inspection and testing. <br /> o Measure corroded steel components to determine thickness loss using calipers. Corrosion <br /> deposits will be scraped from corroded areas for subsequent compositional analysis. <br /> • Analyze corrosion deposit and powder samples Corrosion Probe's affiliate, Corrosion Testing <br /> Laboratories. <br /> • Prepare and submit a formal, written report describing the site work performed and the <br /> associated field and laboratory analysis results, including recommendations for rehabilitation or <br /> replacement. <br /> • Prepare recommendations, specification language, and drawing details for rehabilitation and <br /> replacement of concrete, embedded steel components, and protective coatings. <br /> Everett Responsibilities <br /> • Provide site access, staffing, and resources to support field work conducted by inspection crews. <br /> Task Assumptions <br /> • Site work will be performed by one CPI engineer/consultant and is anticipated to take one full <br /> day. <br /> • Site work will not involve confined space entry or contact with the plant water. <br /> • All surfaces to be inspected will be within reach of walkways and platforms. <br /> • Access to elevated areas will require use of a ladder (supplied by plant staff). <br /> • Corrosion deposit and concrete powder sampling will be performed so as to minimize <br /> contamination of the plant water. <br /> • Laboratory fees include analysis of two corrosion deposit samples and three concrete powder <br /> samples. <br /> Meetings <br /> • 1 hour kick off meeting between BC, CPI, and the City to discuss site visit logistics. <br /> • One site visit by subconsultant. <br /> Work Products <br /> • Summary of work and recommendations report from CPI. <br /> Task 700 Services During Bid and Construction <br /> Activities/Approach: Provide support to the City during the bid period. <br /> • Attend pre-bid meeting and prepare agenda, attendance list, and meeting minutes. <br /> • Address questions from potential bidders. <br /> • Preparation of Bid Addenda to answer Bidder questions and provide edits, changes, or <br /> clarifications to bid documents. <br /> • Preparation of conformed documents to incorporate all bid addenda items. <br /> • One electronic deliverable (PDF) set of design documents will be provided for the Conformed <br /> Documents. No hard copy prints are included as part of this scope. <br /> • Review project submittals during construction. <br /> Page 12 of 13 <br />
