Portal 4 Improvements <br /> Surveying Services Scope of Work <br /> A. Task 1: Provide Topographic Field Survey:This task includes locating and identifying existing <br /> utilities, improvements, natural features and grades within the limits of worked. Field survey shall <br /> include enough detail to produce a base map with boundary information, contours and other <br /> topographic information, as requested herein. Page 1 of Exhibit A shows the boundaries of the <br /> Portal 4 survey work. <br /> Portal 4 Area 1(see Exhibit A, PDF page 1, keynote 1) <br /> 1. The Survey Consultant shall provide a topographic map of the area within the limits of work as <br /> shown on PDF page 1 of Exhibit A. All topographic information shall be referenced to the <br /> specified coordinate system and provided in with the Base Map. <br /> 2. The Survey Consultant shall complete a site walk and review of record drawings with the <br /> Engineer prior to starting field work. <br /> 3. Field surveys shall locate the following planimetric features including: <br /> a) Critical design points such as site boundary corners/lines, roadways, wetlands and buffers, <br /> and ridge lines and slopes around the identified survey area. <br /> b) Man-made features and improvements including parking areas, roadways, retaining walls, <br /> ditches, culverts, and other linear features on the site. <br /> a. Utilities and pipelines that have surface features such as hatches and cleanouts. <br /> b. Identify the materials of construction of man-made features such as pipes, roadways, <br /> and retaining walls. <br /> c) The existing Portal 4 building and other structures or significant features within the limits of <br /> work and any buildings and significant features within 20+/-feet of the limits of work. <br /> d) Critical elevations within the boundary of work as shown in Exhibit A. Critical elevations <br /> include invert elevations for culverts and drain lines, rim elevations of catch basins, vault <br /> lids and bottoms (if accessible), and top and bottom of eco-block retaining walls. <br /> e) Elevations and coordinates of utilities at the Portal 4 site including the following: <br /> a. Pipe and conduit materials and sizes. <br /> b. Power cable hand holes. <br /> 4. Field surveys shall provide spot elevations including: <br /> a) Natural features such as grade breaks,top and toe of banks or benches, and rock outcrops <br /> or large boulders, and the edges of heavy vegetation, rock fields or other features of <br /> significance to the landscape. <br /> 5. The field codes, field code CAD Blocks, and import layers shall be per Section 5 - CAD <br /> Standards for Deliverables. The Survey Consultant shall provide an electronic copy of survey <br /> point description codes, field code CAD Block and import layering used during field survey and <br /> import into CAD where not provided. <br /> Portal 4 Area 2 (see Exhibit A, PDF page 1, keynote 2) <br /> 1. Field survey shall locate the following planimetric features including: <br /> a) Building corners <br /> b) Grade break along perimeter <br /> c) Points at the edge of gravel to delineate boundary of access road <br /> d) Utility covers <br /> e) Top of transmission line 4 valve cover(see Exhibit A, PDF page 3, Photo 3) <br /> f) Power cable hand holes (see Exhibit A, PDF page 3, Photo 2). <br /> 2 <br />
