Provide stair sections and details for all new stairs, interior and exterior. Specify riser height and tread depth. Provide detail for tread nosing per section r311.7.5.3 IRC. A typical stair detail has been added to sheet A3.1. Specific tread and riser information is shown on the plans unique to each individual stair. 2. The insulation shown at the perimeter of the basement,does not create a thermal break as required by the Washington State Energy Code. If the insulation installed does not meet the prescriptive requirements specified in the code,you may provide an alternative using the"Total UA alternative"per section R402.1.4. Please provide a"Total UA alternative"calculation showing compliance with the energy code. The footing/slab detail has been revised to create a thermal break in the concrete as it transitions to the stem wall. The revision allows for R-10 to turn up along the face of the stem wall. We would prefer to avoid the UA alternative calculations. Please let me know if this will suffice. Relevant details are the section drawings on sheet A4.0 and structural details 1, 2, 6, 7,and 15 of S5. For additional reference please refer to accompanying structural letter. 3. Provide section and/or details for guard construction and attachment to the structure for all guards. Wood post details have been added to the structural drawings 18/S6. Glass guardrail post details per the manufacturer. The basic information has been added to the drawings (6/A4.1) but a cut sheet of the specs can be provided if required.
