COE will do connection. <br /> Response: The fitting on the end of the HDPE pipe has been revised to specify a flange fitting as <br /> requested. <br /> 6. Add the following note a note 7 to all utility sheets: "COE Water Dept. crews shall make <br /> connection, per separate utility permit. Fee is based on a cost estimate by the water department <br /> and work shall be at the owner/contractor's expense". <br /> Response: The note has been added as note 7 on sheets C4.01 and C4.02. <br /> 7. Add DCDA in vault outside of building. Plans show —120' from connection at main to building. Limit <br /> to DCDA is 70' maximum. <br /> Response:A fire service compound meter per COE standard drawing 503 has been specified and the <br /> service connection has been reconfigured as requested. <br /> 8. Remove thrust blocking and update bends to have flanged connections where indicated (see <br /> markups for more detail). <br /> Response:Bends have been updated to have flanged connections without thrust blocking as requested. <br /> 9. DCDA must go in vault outside of the building if done as shown (exceeds 70' from connection at <br /> main). <br /> Response:A fire service compound meter with DCDA per COE standard drawing 503 has been <br /> specified and the service connection has been reconfigured as requested. <br /> 10. Add Fire Hydrant off fire line before meter (FH to face 1 3th street). <br /> Response: The fire hydrant has been reconfigured to branch off of the 6-inch fire service line as <br /> requested. <br /> 11. Irrigation service must be its own service before a meter, remove from domestic line and instead <br /> have it come off the fire line before the fire meter/vault. <br /> Response:The irrigation service has been relocated to connect to the fire line upstream of the <br /> compound meter vault. The callout has also been revised to clarify that a DCVA will also be required <br /> on the back side of the irrigation meter. <br /> 12. Revise FDC location to come out of vault behind DCDA and face 13th street. <br /> Response: The FDC has been relocated as requested,consistent with COE standard drawing 503. <br /> 13. Verify that existing vault has bypass. <br /> Response:Existing vault and bypass have been built per the North Marina Redevelopment <br /> Infrastructure Phase 1 sheets 9.4 and 9.11.See attached sheets for more detail. <br /> SHEET C4.02 <br /> 14. All water pipes are to be HDPE Pipe <br /> Response:All water main pipes have been revised to HDPE(DIP) as requested,see sheet C4.02 for <br /> more detail. <br /> 15. Plan shows 6" HDPE. Should be 4" D.I. pipe through vault. <br />
