The location and actual occupant load of the occupant load signs shown on Sheet A016 <br /> should be keyed to the floor plans for the assembly occupancy rooms (and occupied roof). <br /> Section 1004.3 <br /> 2. Emergency electrical power should be shown for the lighting at the stairways, the lobby <br /> serving Stair#1, electrical equipment rooms and the exterior landings serving the exterior <br /> exit doorways. Section 1008.3.2 <br /> 3. A two-way communication system complying with Sections 1009.8.1 (emergency power) <br /> and 1009.8.2 (signage) should be shown at each elevator landing above the level of exit <br /> discharge. Section 1009.8 <br /> 4. Doors N143B, N247, N470B & S154E should be shown with panic hardware. Section <br /> 1010.1.10 <br /> 5. The locations of exit signs should be shown on the plans (to include within the Assembly <br /> Occupancy areas). Section 1013.1 <br /> 6. Signs stating EXIT in visual characters and braille complying with ICC A117.1 should be <br /> shown adjacent to each stairway exit door, exit passageway door and each exit discharge. <br /> Section 1013.4 <br /> 7. Corridor doors #N123A, N149A, N119A, (the door into storage room N252—door number <br /> obscured by dimension overlay), N254 (45-minute doors are not better in this instance as <br /> they are not smoke-and draft control assemblies), N243, N245, 1614, N343, N345, N117D, <br /> N454, S154E, N247, N117E, S149, 1065 (storage), 994 (storage), 1591 (storage) and <br /> S474 (storage) should be shown as minimum 20-minute rated assemblies. Table 716.5 <br /> 8. The following comments apply to the exit corridors shown in the both buildings that are <br /> extensions of the interior exit enclosures on the ground floor per Section 1023.3: <br /> a. The exit corridors should be relabeled as'exit passageways'for clarification. <br /> b. 90-minute rated doors should be provided between the stairs and the adjacent <br /> exit passageways. <br /> c. The lid of the 2-hour exit passageways (and walls supporting the lid) should be <br /> shown as a minimum two-hour listed assembly on the plans. <br /> d. The wall adjacent to the dwelling unit of the exit passageway serving Stair #1 <br /> (North B.) and Stair #2 (South B.) should be shown as a minimum 2-hour listed <br /> assembly. <br /> 9. Roof top Guards (both for large group areas and individual units) should be shown at a <br /> minimum of 42"high. Section 1015.3 <br /> 10.The maximum occupant load for the assembly occupancy areas (including the exterior <br /> large-group areas) should be posted with the locations noted on the plans.
