Please review and <br /> respond to the comments below. <br /> General <br /> 1. The new door that leads into the stairway vestibule from the street to the basement should <br /> not swing into and over the Right of Way. <br /> 2. A one-hour floor/ceiling assembly (30 minutes per Exception 5) should be provided for <br /> the 2nd floor stair assembly noted on Stair Section 2/A5. IEBC Section 802.2.1 <br /> 3. Exterior exit door 113A need not be a fire-rated assembly. <br /> 4. Exterior window type C within 24" of the doors should be shown as safety glazing. IBC <br /> Section 2406.4 <br /> 5. The handrail extension at the basement level (eastern side of the stairs) will be close to <br /> the door swing and impeding the minimum required landing area. The wall supporting the <br /> extension should continue at least one more tread depth. The handrail should also have <br /> a return. IBC Section 1014.6 <br /> 6.
