The program available funding for construction of the <br />project is $3,500,000. <br />Project summary statement: Public Works seeks authorization to call for bids for the <br />Water Filter Plant Emergency Generator Replacement project. <br />The Water Filter Plant Emergency Generator system is comprised of two generators, <br />generator system controls, and supporting infrastructure. The generators have <br />experienced failures in the past, are beyond their expected useful life, and are unable to <br />meet the filter plant's anticipated future electrical demands. The controls and <br />supporting infrastructure are at the end of their expected useful life and in need of <br />modernization and upgrade. The Emergency Generator Replacement project scope <br />includes replacement and upgrade of the emergency generators, control system, fuel <br />storage and delivery system, and other supporting infrastructure. <br />The Engineer's estimate for project construction is $2,712,071.00. <br />Recommendation (exact action requested of Council): Authorize call for bids for the <br />completion of the Water Filter Plant Emergency Generator Replacement project. <br />
