April 6, 2022 <br /> AYES: Vogeli, Tuohy, Rhyne, Schwab, Zarlingo, Fosse, Stonecipher <br /> NAYES: None <br /> ABSENT: None <br /> Ordinance No. 3870-22 adopted. <br /> REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL—AUTOMATED TRAFFIC SAFETY CAMERA PROGRAM <br /> Moved by Council Member Tuohy, seconded by Council Member Zarlingo, to <br /> authorize the release of Request for Proposal (RFP) #2022-002 Automated <br /> Traffic Safety Camera Program. <br /> Corey Hert, City Traffic Engineer, gave an update on the program, which included <br /> a revised timeline, request for proposals, history of existing accidents in potential <br /> intersection locations from January 2015 to October 2021, and photo <br /> enforcement funding of safety projects. <br /> Discussion followed among Council Members Vogeli, Tuohy, Rhyne, Schwab, <br /> Zarlingo, Fosse and President Stonecipher. <br /> After in-depth discussion, Council Member Fosse made a motion to postpone <br /> council action to allow for more community outreach and stakeholder input to <br /> address concerns with the program. <br /> President Stonecipher tabled the motion to postpone council action to hear from <br /> the public on this matter. <br /> Deb Williams introduced members of the public who wished to speak on this item: <br /> • Brock Howell — Executive Director of Snohomish County Transportation <br /> Coalition (SNOTRAC) <br /> Discussion continued among Council Members Vogeli, Tuohy, Rhyne, Schwab, <br /> Zarlingo, Fosse and President Stonecipher. <br /> 6 <br />
