This position will focus primarily on financial system application development for custom systems,such as Praxis and the Employee Budget System. The cost of this position is partially offset by a reduction in the Finance department's professional services budget of$15,000. Department Code Rev Exp FB GGA-6 Animal Services Add Animal Care&Customer Service Assistant 026A 72,750 GGA-6 General Fund Add Animal Care&Customer Service Assistant 002A 72,750 This amendment proposes to increases the Animal Services budget by$72,750 for the addition of an Animal Care&Customer Service Assistant position. The position will be funded in 2022 by a transfer in from the Fund for Animals,which is partially funded by an ASPCA grant. This additional position will enable the veterinary team to significantly increase the number of spay/neuters and other surgeries and procedures for partner animal welfare organizations and low-income households. Department Code Rev Exp FB GGA-7 Police FY21 STOP grant 031A 32,170 GGA-7 General Fund FY21 STOP grant 002A 32,170 The Police Department has been awarded$32,170 in grant funds from the Washington State STOP Formula Grant program. The agreement with the State Department of Commerce provides funding to improve criminal justice and community response to violence against women in Snohomish County. The grant funds will be used to advance county-wide law enforcement training. The 25%in- kind match will be covered by the existing labor budget. Council approved this grant at the November 13,2021,Council meeting Department Code Rev Exp FB GGA-8 Police WA State Criminal Justice Training Commission grant 031A 60,000 GGA-8 General Fund WA State Criminal Justice Training Commission grant 002A 60,000 The Police Department has been awarded a$60,000 grant from the Washington State Criminal Justice Training Commission for recruitment,training,and applicant testing fees for underrepresented communities and populations.
