Step wave UPS output is not acceptable. <br /> 2.11 INSTRUMENTATION <br /> A. GENERAL REQUIREMENTS OF INSTRUMENTATION <br /> 1. All Instruments, switches and control sensors shall be rated for the <br /> environment in which they will be located. In general, devices mounted <br /> indoors shall be NEMA 12 rated. Devices mounted outdoors, or in wet or <br /> corrosive environments shall be NEMA 4X rated. <br /> 2. Transmitters shall be indicating type when available and shall have local <br /> or direct reading indicators, unless otherwise shown. <br /> a. Provide a pressure gauge for every pressure switch and <br /> transmitter. <br /> 3. Select range of instruments for the application. I <br /> 4. Transmitter input power shall be 120VAC 60HZ unless otherwise shown, <br /> output shall be 4-20 mA into a minimum 500-ohm load. <br /> 5. For each instrument that has a separate power source, provide a power <br /> disconnect switch (rated for the environment and the application) <br /> mounted next to each instrument. <br /> 6. Transmitters located outdoors shall be provided in an enclosure with a <br /> heater or provided with thermostat-controlled heaters in their enclosure. <br /> 7. Instruments shall automatically reset and resume normal operation after <br /> power interruption without manual resetting. <br /> 8. Instrument cords (for example: cords between the sensor and the <br /> transmitter) shall be provided: <br /> a.
