. . <br /> Department or Commissioner of Safety may authorize and direct. <br /> It shall also be the duty of every Fire Department employee of <br /> any rank to operate the signal room as directed by the Chief of <br /> the Fire Department or Commissioner of Safety. <br /> SECTION 15 : FIRE HYDRANT DEPARTIENT <br /> There shall be the following named employee in the Fire <br /> Hydrant Department, to-wit: <br /> One Hydrant Repairman. <br /> It ;hall be the duty of such employee to perform the duties <br /> indicated by the name of his employment and such other duties <br /> as hu Chief of the Fire Department or Commissioner of Safety <br /> may authorize and direct. <br /> SECTION 16: FIRE AND POLICE COMMUNICATIONS DEPARTMENT <br /> There shall be the following named employees in the <br /> Fire and Police Communications Department, to-wit: <br /> One Fire and Police Communications Mechanic; <br /> one or more Day Laborers. <br /> It shall be the duty of such employees to perform the duties <br /> indicated by the name of their employment and such other duties <br /> as the Chief of the Fire Department or Commissioner of Safety <br /> ma: authorize and direct. <br /> SECTION 17: STREET PAINTING DEPARTIENT <br /> There shall be the following named employees in the <br /> Street Painting Department, to-wit: <br /> One Street Painter; one or more Day Laborers <br /> (part time) . <br /> It shall be the duty of such employees to perform the duties <br /> indicated by the name of their employment and such other duties <br /> as the Commissioner of Safety and the Chief of Police shall <br /> from time to time authorize and direct. <br /> DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS <br /> SECTION 10: CITY ENGINEER DEPARTMENT <br /> There shall be the following named officers, deputies, <br /> assistants and employees in the office of the City Engineer, <br /> to-wit: <br /> One City Engineer; one Engineer; two Senior <br /> Engineers; one Assoc . Engineer; one Asst. <br /> Engineer; five Junior Engineers, one of whom <br /> shall be assigned as Traffic Eng. and one <br /> assigned as Planning Engineer; two Senior <br /> Engineering Aides; two Engineering Aides; one <br /> Clerk; and one or more Inspectors . <br /> Said officers, assistants and employees shall perform such <br /> duties indicated by the name of their respective employment <br /> and such other duties as the City Engineer shall, from time to <br /> time, authorize and direct. <br />
