Section 19. NOTICE IN WRITING TO BE GIVEN. Reasonable <br /> notice in writing must be given to the inspector at his office by <br /> any person desiring to make connection with any public sewer or drain <br /> previous to the time of making such connection, when such work will <br /> be ready for inspection, and the inspector shall inspect the same, <br /> and the said connection must be made in the manner prescribed in this <br /> ordinance and to the satisfaction of the inspector before the trench <br /> is filled. <br /> Section 20. INSPECTOR PERMITTED TO ENTER ANY PREMISES IN <br /> DISCHARGE OF DUTY. The Inspector of Sewers and Plumbing shall have <br /> the right to enter upon the premises drained by any house drain or <br /> connected with any public sewer at all reasonable hours to ascertain <br /> whether the provisions of this or any other ordinance in regard to <br /> house drains have been complied with, and if he shall find that said <br /> drain or its attachments do not conform to the provisions of this or <br /> any other ordinance, he shall notify the owner of said premises, or <br /> his agent, of the fact. It shall thereupon be the duty of said owner <br /> or his agent to cause said drain or its attachments to be so altered, <br /> repaired or reconstructed, as to make them conform to the requirements <br /> of the law in regard thereto, within fifteen days from the time of <br /> receiving notice. Any person who shall refuse to allow inspection <br /> as herein provided shall be guilty of a violation of this ordinance. <br /> Section 21. SEWERS NOT TO BE INTERFERED WITH. It shall be <br /> unlawful for any person or persons to injure, break or remove any <br /> portion of any manhole, lamphole, flush-tank or any part of the <br /> public sewers, and when any person or corporation desires to lay or <br /> drive any pipe in any of the streets or alleys on which sewers are <br /> laid, they shall give at least twenty-four hours' notice to the City <br /> Engineer of said city and receive a permit so to do from the City <br /> Engineer. <br /> 14. <br />
