• � • ♦ • ` + <br /> Pensions shall be based upon the annual gross com- <br /> pensation above provided for, but not on any <br /> compensation received above the gross annual com- <br /> pensation herein fixed. <br /> Captains, when assigned as drillmaster, shall be <br /> allowed a total annual gross equal to the amount <br /> set forth for Captains plus $240.00 per year. <br /> SECTION 2: An emergency is hereby declared to exist <br /> because of the adoption of Substitute Senate Bill No. 424 of <br /> the State of Washington, effective June 11, 1959, which requires <br /> the payment of time and one-half for all work performed in <br /> excess of 40 hours, or 8 hours in any one day, or continuous <br /> work period, and such act will require the expenditure of funds <br /> far in excess of the amount budgeted for the year 1959 as pro- <br /> vided by the salary ordinance, and this ordinance shall take <br /> effect upon its passage and publication. <br /> Attest: <br /> / <br /> City Clerk/ <br /> Passed: June 16, 1959 <br /> Published: June 17, 1959 <br />
