Section 19 : INSPECTION DEPARTMENT There shall be the following named officers and employ- ees in the Inspection Department, to-wit: One Building Inspector; one Electrical Inspector; one Plumbing Inspector; one Office Helper (part time) . It shall be the duty of such officers and employees to perform the duties relating to such offices as defined by the ordinances of such city, and such other duties as the Commissioner of Public Works shall authorize and direct. Section 20: STREET DEPARTMENT There shall be the following named officers and assist- ants in the Street Department, to-wit: One Superintendent; one Cement Superintendent; one Clerk; one Auto Repairman; one Asst. Auto Repairman; two Foremen; seven Truck Drivers; one Crusherman; two Heavy Equipment Operators; one Bulldozer Operator; two Gradermen; two Sweepermen; one Flusherman (night) ; six Utility Laborers; one or more Day Laborers. Said officers, assistants and employees shall perform the duties pertaining to such office as indicated by the name of their respective employment, and such other duties as the Super- intendent of Streets or Commissioner of Public Works shall, from time to time, authorize and direct. Section 21: WATER DEPARTMENT There shall be the following named officers, assistants and employees in the Water Department of the City of Everett, to-wit: One Superintendent; one Asst. Superintendent; one General Foreman; one Distribution Foreman; one Accountant; one Accountant-Clerk; one Clerk; one Senior Engineer; two Junior Engineers; one Senior Engineering Aide; one Engineering Aide; three Foremen; one Welder; one Blacksmith; one Machinist; one Inspector; one Asst. Inspector; one Auto Repairman; one Asst. Auto Repairman; four Water Control Station Operators; one Head- works Operator; one Basin Patrolman; one Carpenter; four Heavy Equipment Operators; three Truck Drivers; four Servicemen; three Servicemen' s Helpers; two Meter Repairmen; twenty-three Utility Laborers; four Radio Technicians (part time ) ; three Day Laborers. The Superintendent shall be in general charge and have supervision of the Water Department. The other officers, assistants and employees shall perform such duties as pertain to the nature of their office and as authorized and directed by the Superintendent of the Water System and Commissioner of Public Works. Section 22: It is the purpose of this ordinance to fix the number of and description of the permanent assistants, deputies and employees in the various offices of the City of --i
