! , <br /> ORDINANCE NO. . _ <br /> AN ORDINANCE amending Sections 15, 18 and 27 of <br /> Ordinance No. 3546 entitled: <br /> An Ordinance regulating the construction, opera- <br /> tion and maintenance of public and private sewers, <br /> plumbing and drainage, and providing for the <br /> making of connections therewith; compelling con- <br /> nection to public sewers and fixing liens and <br /> prescribing penalties for the violation thereof; <br /> and repealing all ordinances and parts of <br /> ordinances in conflict herewith. <br /> and adding a new section designated as Section 15 A. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: <br /> Section 1: That Section 15 of Ordinance No. 3546 is <br /> hereby amended to read as follows : <br /> Section 15: PERMIT TO CONNECT TO PUBLIC SEWER. <br /> All persons desiring to connect a private sewer <br /> to a public sewer to serve property which has been <br /> charged for the construction of the local sewer by a <br /> local improvement assessment or otherwise, shall make <br /> application to the City Engineer on forms prepared by <br /> the City, which shall include the name of the owner of <br /> the premises, the number and location of the building <br /> to be connected, and shall be accompanied by a permit <br /> fee of S10.00 <br /> All persons desiring to connect a private sewer to <br /> a public sewer, to serve property which has not been <br /> charged for the construction of a local sewer by local <br /> improvement district assessment or otherwise, shall <br /> make application to the City Engineer, which application <br /> shall be accompanied by a contract signed by the owner <br /> of record of the property agreeing to: (1) Pay to <br /> the City of Everett a sum equal to the cost of a local <br /> sewer, to-wit, $50.00 down plus $2.00 per month for <br /> 100 months, or $230.00 in cash; (2) Cause or permit <br /> the City of Everett to disconnect the sewer line if the <br /> sewer connection charge herein provided is not promptly <br /> paid when due; (3) Provide that the agreement shall be <br /> and constitute a covenant running with the land and <br /> binding on the owner and all persons subsequently <br /> acquiring any right, title or interest in and to said <br /> property. <br />
