! , ORDINANCE NO. . _ AN ORDINANCE amending Sections 15, 18 and 27 of Ordinance No. 3546 entitled: An Ordinance regulating the construction, opera- tion and maintenance of public and private sewers, plumbing and drainage, and providing for the making of connections therewith; compelling con- nection to public sewers and fixing liens and prescribing penalties for the violation thereof; and repealing all ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict herewith. and adding a new section designated as Section 15 A. NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: Section 1: That Section 15 of Ordinance No. 3546 is hereby amended to read as follows : Section 15: PERMIT TO CONNECT TO PUBLIC SEWER. All persons desiring to connect a private sewer to a public sewer to serve property which has been charged for the construction of the local sewer by a local improvement assessment or otherwise, shall make application to the City Engineer on forms prepared by the City, which shall include the name of the owner of the premises, the number and location of the building to be connected, and shall be accompanied by a permit fee of S10.00 All persons desiring to connect a private sewer to a public sewer, to serve property which has not been charged for the construction of a local sewer by local improvement district assessment or otherwise, shall make application to the City Engineer, which application shall be accompanied by a contract signed by the owner of record of the property agreeing to: (1) Pay to the City of Everett a sum equal to the cost of a local sewer, to-wit, $50.00 down plus $2.00 per month for 100 months, or $230.00 in cash; (2) Cause or permit the City of Everett to disconnect the sewer line if the sewer connection charge herein provided is not promptly paid when due; (3) Provide that the agreement shall be and constitute a covenant running with the land and binding on the owner and all persons subsequently acquiring any right, title or interest in and to said property.
