ORDINANCE NO. 1575 <br /> AN ORDINANCE amending Ordinance No. 3572 of the City of <br /> Everett entitled: <br /> An Ordinance regulating and restricting the location <br /> and use of buildings and land within the City of <br /> Everett; limiting the heighth of buildings; pre- <br /> scribing building lines and size of yard and other <br /> open spaces; providing for the division of the city <br /> into use zones; creating a Board of Adjustment; and <br /> providing for penalties for violation of the <br /> ordinance. <br /> providing for the amendment of Section 4 covering the zone map <br /> of the City of Everett, and amending Sections 8 and 9 providing <br /> for dry cleaning establishments using non-flamable liquids <br /> pursuant to hearing and approval and declaring an emergency to <br /> exist. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: <br /> Section 1: That the City Council of the City of Everett <br /> does hereby find that the changes hereinafter set forth are for <br /> the best interests of the City and in harmony with the comprehen- <br /> sive plan of land use for the City. <br /> Section 2: That the zone map of the City of Everett, <br /> also designated as use map of the City of Everett, as established <br /> by Section 4 of Ordinance No. 3572 as above outlined is hereby <br /> amended as follows : <br /> Beg. at NW car. SW* NW* Section 17, Township 29, <br /> North, Range 5 EWM; thence along north line said <br /> south boundary 967 feet to center line alley <br /> between Lombard and Broadway produced northerly; <br /> thence to t.p.o.b. ; thence East on said section <br /> 2, <br /> line 172 ft. ; thence South 50 ft. ; thence West <br /> 172 ft. ; thence North 50 ft. to p.o.b. , less 30 <br /> ft. for Broadway when extended, also 12 ft. on <br /> West side for alley when extended. <br /> Beg. NW corner SW* NW* Section 17, Township 29 <br /> North, Range 5 EWM; thence East along North line <br /> said boundary 967 ft. to center line of alley <br /> between Lombard and Broadway produced; thence <br /> South along said alley center line a distance of <br /> 50 ft. to tpob; thence East 172 ft. ; thence South <br /> 64.83 ft. ; thence West 172 ft. ; thence North 64.83 ft. <br /> to tpob, less r/w 30 ft. for Broadway when extended <br /> and r/w 12 ft. wide for alley when extended. <br /> Are hereby rezoned from R-2, single family high <br /> density residence zone, to B-2, community shopping <br /> zone. <br /> Section 3: That Section 8 of Ordinance No. 3572 be and <br /> it is hereby amended to read as follows : <br /> Section 8. R-3, MULTIPLE-FAMILY LOW DENSITY RESIDENCE ZONE <br /> A. DECLARATION OF PURPOSE: <br /> The purpose and function of the R-3 Zone is to pro- <br /> vide for and protect certain areas of the City for <br /> multiple-family low density residential uses. <br />
