<br /> AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 1 OF ORDINANCE NO. 1599
<br /> OF THE CITY OF EVERETT ENTITLED:
<br /> An Ordinance for the preservation of public morality,
<br /> peace, safety and good order in the City of Everett,
<br /> and defining disorderly persons, and providing pen-
<br /> alties for the violation thereof, repealing ordinance
<br /> Numbers 13, 14, 162, 345, 460, 464, 784, 812, 1078,
<br /> and all ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict
<br /> herewith, except as to acts and offenses committed
<br /> under such ordinances, and declaring an emergency.
<br /> NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN:
<br /> Section 1 : That Section 1 of Ordinance No. 1599 of the
<br /> City of Everett be, and it is hereby amended to read as follows :
<br /> Section 1 : The following persons are hereby declared
<br /> to be disorderly persons :
<br /> (1) All persons found intoxicated in any public place
<br /> or within view of any public place or on private pro-
<br /> perty of another, being thereon without permission of
<br /> the owner thereof, all within the City of Everett.
<br /> (2) All persons fighting or quarreling in said City.
<br /> (3) All persons who shall resist any peace officer or
<br /> policeman, or who shall refuse when called upon to
<br /> assist him in the discharge of his duty, or who shall
<br /> aid or assist any person in the lawful custody of such
<br /> police officer or policeman to escape, or attempt to
<br /> escape, from such custody.
<br /> (4) All persons who shall by noisy, riotous, or
<br /> tumultuous conduct disturb the quiet and peace of said
<br /> city, or of any lawful meeting or assemblage therein.
<br /> (5) All persons who shall wilfully give a false alarm
<br /> of fire.
<br /> (6) All persons who shall use vulgar, profane, abusive,
<br /> or obscene language, or be guilty of any indecent or
<br /> immoral act, practice or conduct tending to debauch
<br /> public morals.
<br /> (7) All persons trespassing upon or injuring any park,
<br /> parking strip or grass plot.
<br /> (8) All persons who shall wilfully break, mar, injure
<br /> or deface any building, fence, awning, window, sign,
<br /> signboard, tree, flowers, grass, shrubbery or other
<br /> thing of value, being the property of another, in said
<br /> city.
<br /> (9) All persons (except police or other officers whose
<br /> duty it is to make arrests) who shall carry upon their
<br /> persons any concealed weapon, consisting of a revolver,
<br /> pistol or other firearm, or any knife other than an
<br /> ordinary pocket knife, or any dirk or dagger, slingshot
<br /> or metal knuckles, or any other instrument used as a
<br /> weapon.
