• <br /> • <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: <br /> Section 1 . That for the purpose of providing funds to <br /> construct, install and make those improvements to the certain main <br /> travelled streets, roads and avenues within the city provided for in <br /> Ordinance No . 3571 of the city, passed and approved September 25, <br /> 1956, and as authorized by the qualified electors of the city at a <br /> special election held therein on November 6, 1956, the city shall <br /> now issue and sell its general obligation bonds in the total principal <br /> sum of $650,000. <br /> Said bonds shall be dated May 1, 1957, shall be in denomina- <br /> tions of $1,000 each, shall bear interest at a rate of not to exceed <br /> 6% per annum payable semiannually on the first days of May and November <br /> of each year as evidenced by coupons to be attached to said bonds, <br /> shall be payable in lawful money of the United States of America at <br /> the office of the City Treasurer in Everett, Washington, and shall be <br /> numbered and mature in order of their number as follows: <br /> Bond Nos. Maturity Date Amount <br /> 1-120 May 1, 1959 $120,000 <br /> 121-245 May 1, 1960 125,000 <br /> 246-375 May 1, 1961 130,000 <br /> 376-510 May 1, 1962 135,000 <br /> 511-650 May 1, 1963 140,000. <br /> Section 2.
