ORDINANCE NO. 3584 <br /> AN ORDINANCE amending Sections 1 and 2 of Ordinance No. 3563 en- <br /> titled, "An Ordinance granting to the Great Northern Rail- <br /> way Company, its successors and assigns, the right, privi- <br /> lege and authority to locate, lay down, construct, maintain <br /> and operate for a period of twenty-five (25) years from and <br /> after this ordinance becomes effective, railroad spur tracks <br /> along, over and across Norton Avenue between 13th Street and <br /> 14th Street extended Westerly, in the City of Everett, Wash- <br /> ington, and granting to said Company, its successors and as- <br /> signs, rights of way for such tracks," which was passed by <br /> the City Council July 31, 1956. <br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF EVERETT AS FOLLOWS: <br /> Section 1: That Section 1 of Ordinance No. 3563, which was <br /> passed by the City Council on July 31, 1956 be, and it hereby is <br /> amended to read as follows: <br /> "Section 1: The City of Everett does hereby grant <br /> to the Great Northern Railway Company, its successors <br /> and assigns, for a period of twenty-five (25) years from <br /> and after August 30, 1956, the right, privilege and au- <br /> thority to locate, lay down, construct, maintain and <br /> operate railway tracks of standard gauge, as hereinbelow <br /> designated and specified, along, over and across Norton <br /> Avenue between 13th Street and 14th Street extended West- <br /> erly, in said City; and also a right of way for said <br /> tracks along, over and across said Avenue and Streets, <br /> which said right of way shall be seventeen (17) feet in <br /> width for each such track herein authorized, lying eight <br /> and one-half (82) feet on each side of the center line <br /> of such track." <br /> Section 2: That Section 2 of Ordinance No. 3563, which was <br /> passed by the City Council on July 31, 1956 be, and it hereby is <br /> amended to read as follows: <br /> "Section 2: The tracks of standard gauge railway, <br /> the laying down, construction, maintenance and operation <br /> whereof are authorized by this ordinance, arid the rights <br /> of way hereby granted for the same, ar•e described as fol- <br /> lows: <br /> (1) One track of standard gauge railway and a right <br /> of way therefor seventeen (17) feet in width, the <br /> center line of which right of way is described <br /> as follows: <br /> Beginning at a headblock in a proposed yard <br /> track parallel to and at 56 feet centers with <br /> the existing Great Northern main track to <br /> Vancouver, B.C. , opposite the established rail- <br /> way station 1934+54. 5, measured at right angles; <br /> thence northwesterly thru a No. 9 turnout 81 <br /> feet to a heel of frog, making an angle of 6 <br /> degrees 22 minutes with said yard track; thence <br /> 1 <br />
