• • v <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 3563 <br /> AN ORDINANCE granting to the Great Northern Railway Company, its <br /> successors and assigns, the right, privilege and <br /> authority to locate, lay down, construct, maintain and <br /> operate for a period of twenty-five (25) years from <br /> and after this ordinance becomes effective, railroad <br /> spur tracks along, over and across Norton Avenue be- <br /> tween 13th Street and loth Street extended Westerly, in <br /> the City of Everett, Washington, and granting to said <br /> Company, its successors and assigns, rights of way <br /> for such tracks. <br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF EVERETT AS FOLLOWS: <br /> Section 1 : The City of Everett does hereby grant to the <br /> Great Northern Railway Company, its successors and assigns, for a <br /> period of twenty-five (25) years from and after the date this ordinance <br /> becomes effective, the right, privilege and authority to locate, <br /> lay down, construct, maintain and operate railway tracks of standard <br /> gauge, as hereinbelow designated and specified, along, over and <br /> across Norton Avenue between 13th Street and 14th Street extended <br /> Westerly, in said City; and also a right of way for said tracks along, <br /> over and across said Avenue and Streets, which said right of way <br /> shall be fifteen (15) feet in width for each such track herein <br /> authorized, lying seven and one-half (72) feet on each side of the <br /> center line of such track. <br /> Section 2: The tracks of standard gauge railway, the <br /> laying down, construction, maintenance and operation whereof are <br /> authorized by this ordinance, and the rights of way hereby granted <br /> for the same, are described as follows : <br /> (1) One track of standard gauge railway and a right <br /> of way therefor fifteen (15) feet in width, the <br /> center line of which right of way is described <br /> as follows : <br /> Beginning at a headblock in a proposed yard <br /> track parallel to and at 56 feet centers with <br /> the existing Great Northern main track to <br /> Vancouver, B.C. opposite the established rail- <br /> way station 1934+54+.5, measured at right angles; <br /> thence northwesterly thru a No. 9 turnout 81 <br /> feet to a heel of frog, making an angle of 6 <br /> degrees 22 minutes with said yard track; thence <br /> continuing northwesterly along a 12 degree <br /> curve to the left over, along and across said <br /> Norton Avenue and into the Port of Everett <br /> property. <br /> 1. <br />
