• <br /> • f <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 3422 <br /> AN ORDINANCE regulating trailer camps and trailers, defining offenses and providing <br /> penalties and declaring an emergency to exist. <br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF EVERETT AS FOLLOWS: <br /> Section 1. For the purpose of this ordinance, the following terms shall be deemed <br /> and construed to have the meanings respectively ascribed to them in this section, unless <br /> from the particular context it clearly appears that some other meaning is intended, <br /> PERSON -- The word "person" shall mean and include both the singular and plural <br /> and shall also mean and include person, individual, firm, corporation, co-partnership, <br /> association, club, society or any other organization. <br /> TRAILER CA1. -- is defined to be any plot of ground where accommodations are pro- <br /> vided for three or more automobile trailer or house cars used by transients by the day, <br /> week or month, where a charge is or is not made, and where house cars or trailers are <br /> used as living or sleeping quarters. <br /> TRAILER -- is defined to be any camp car, house car or trailer used for living or <br /> sleeping purposes and which is equipped with wheels or similar devices used for the pur- <br /> pose of transporting said unit from place to place, whether by motive power or other <br /> means. <br /> Section 2. It shall be the duty of the Health Department of the City of Everett <br /> to enforce the provisions of this ordinance, and for the purpose of securing enforce- <br /> ment thereof, the Health Officer, or his duly authorized representative, shall have the <br /> right and are hereby empowered. to enter upon the premises of any camp ground, trailer <br /> house or house car now, or hereafter, operated within the City of Everett, for the pur- <br /> pose of carrying out the provisions of this ordinance. <br /> Section 3. It shall be unlawful for any person to camp, place, stand, park or <br /> locate any trailer in the City of Everett, except within a trailer camp. Provided how- <br /> ever, that the same may be parked and used outside of a trailer camp and on private <br /> property only for a period not to exceed forty-eight (4.8) hours continuous time. <br /> Section 4•. No person shall stand, park, place or locate, or permit to be stood, <br /> parked, placed or located upon any property belonging to him, or under his control, <br /> (1) <br />
