A <br /> such as is approved by the Chief of Police as to style, color and <br /> material. <br /> Section 8: The Chief of Police shall keep an accurate record <br /> of the names and addresses of all Special Police Officers. <br /> Section 9: Every person whose appointment as a Special <br /> Policeman under this ordinance has been revoked by the Chief of <br /> Police or has expired or become invalid, shall immediately upon such <br /> revocation, expiration or invalidation surrender to the Chief of <br /> Police the Special Police badge possessed by him, all written <br /> evidence of his appointment as a Special Policeman and any other <br /> insignia of such office. <br /> Section 10: It shall be unlawful for any person unless he is <br /> a duly and regularly appointed and acting Special Policeman under <br /> the provisions of this ordinance or a police officer of the United <br /> States Government, the State of Tashington, the County of Snohomish, <br /> or the City of Everett, to wear or carry upon his person, or to <br /> possess, any Special Police badge or similar insignia or thing in <br /> imitation or similitude thereof, or to wear the uniform of a <br /> Special Policeman or Special Police Officer, as herein provided, or <br /> any similitude thereof, or to act or serve as a Special Policeman <br /> or Special Police Officer. <br /> Section 11: All appointment of Special Policeman heretofore <br /> made under the provisions of any prior ordinance of the City of <br /> Everett shall be and become void and of no effect on and after <br /> ninety (90) days from the effective date of this ordinance; and all <br /> such appointees shall, within thirty (30) days after such appoint- <br /> ments become void, surrender and deliver to the Chief of Police <br /> any Special Police badge possessed by him and all written evidence <br /> of his appointment as a Special Policeman and any other insignia <br /> of such office. <br /> Section 12: The violation of, or failure to comply with, any <br /> of the provisions of Sections 6, 9 and 10 of this ordinance shall <br /> constitute a misdemeanor, punishable by a fine in any sum not <br /> exceeding Three Hundred Dollars ( ;300.00) or by imprisonment in the <br /> City Jail for a period not exceeding ninety (90) days, or by both <br /> such fine and imprisonment. <br /> Section 13: This ordinance shall take effect thirty (30) <br /> days after approval and publication. <br /> Mayor <br /> Attest: <br /> i <br /> / City Clerk <br /> Passed: May 6, 1952 <br /> Published: May 7, 1952 <br />
