Section 11: CITY TREASURER DEPARTMENT <br /> There shall be the following named deputies and assistants <br /> in the office of the City Treasurer, to-wit: <br /> One Deputy City Treasurer; One Assistant Deputy City <br /> Treasurer; One Water Cashier; One Clerk-Bookkeeper; <br /> One Assistant Water Cashier; One Clerk-Stenographer; <br /> One Parking Meter serviceman; One Assistant Parking <br /> Meter Serviceman; and One Clerk. <br /> It shall be the duty of such officers, deputies and assis- <br /> tants to perform the duties pertaining to the office of the City <br /> Treasurer as the City Treasurer shall authorize and direct. <br /> DEPARTMENT OF SAFETY <br /> Section 12: HEALTH DEPARTMENT <br /> There shall be the following named officers and assistants <br /> in the Health Department, to-wit: <br /> One Health Officer (part time) ; One Deputy Health <br /> Officer; One Milk Inspector; One Meat Inspector (part <br /> time) ; One Stenographer-Clerk; One Rodent Controlman; <br /> One City Nurse; and One Bacteriologist. <br /> It shall be the duty of such officers and assistants to <br /> perform the duties pertaining to said department under the dir- <br /> ection of the Health Officer and the Commissioner of Safety. <br /> Section 13: POLICE DEPARTMENT <br /> There shall be the following named officers and assistants <br /> in the Police Department, to-wit: <br /> One Chief of Police; Three Captains; One Supt. Bureau <br /> of Identification; One Assistant Supt. Bureau of <br /> Identification; Eleven Sergeants; Thirty Patrolmen <br /> First Class; One Patrolman First Class (Mechanic) ; <br /> one Patrolman Second Class; One Policewoman First Class; <br /> One Clerical Helpera (part time) . <br /> It shall be the duty of the officers and assistants in sai. <br /> Police Department to perform the duties indicated by the name of <br /> their employment, and such other duties as the Chief of Police or <br /> Commissioner of Safety may authorize and direct. <br /> Section 14: FIRE DEPARTMENT <br /> There shall be the following named officers and assistants <br /> in the Fire Department, to-wit: <br /> One Chief; Three Assistant Chiefs; One Supt. Fire and <br /> Police Signals; One Assistant Supt. Fire and Police <br /> Signals; One Fire Marshall; One Master Mechanic; One <br /> Captain and Personnel Officer; Fifteen Captains; One <br /> Assistant i'ire Marshall; Two Fire and Police Jignal <br /> Technicians; One Chief Fire Alarm Operator; Three Fire <br /> Alarm Operators; Thirty-six Senior Pipemen; Five Junior <br /> Pipemen; One Second Year Pipeman. <br /> It shall ,:be the duty of such officers and assistants in <br /> -3- <br />
