It shall also be <br /> the duty of every Fire Department employee of any rank to operate <br /> the signal room as directed by the Chief of the Fire Department or <br /> Commissioner of Safety. <br /> Section 15: FIRE HYDRANT DEPARTMENT <br /> There shall be the following named employee in the Fire <br /> Hydrant Department, to-wit: <br /> One Hydrant Repairman. <br /> It shall be the duty of such employee to perform the duties <br /> indicated by the name of his employment and such other duties as the <br /> Chief of Fire Department or Commissioner of Safety may authorize and <br /> direct, <br /> Section 16: STREET PAINTING DEPARTMENT <br /> There shall be the following named employees in the Street <br /> Painting Department, to-wit: <br /> One Street Painter and Two Assistant Street Painters <br /> It shall be the duty of such employees to perform the duties <br /> indicated by the name of their employment and such other duties as <br /> the Commissioner of Safety and the Chief of Police shall, from time <br /> to time, authorize and direct. <br /> DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS <br /> Section 17: CITY ENGINEER DEPARTMENT <br /> There shall be the following named Officers, deputies, <br /> 1, assistants and employees in the office of the City Engineer, to-wit: <br /> One City Engineer (part time) ; One Senior Engineer; One <br /> • <br /> Associate Engineer; One Assistant Engineer; Four Junior <br /> Engineers; Iwo Senior Engineering Aides; Three Engineering <br /> Aides; One Stenographer; One or more Inspectors (part time). <br /> Said officers, assistants and employees shall perform the <br /> duties indicated by the name of their respective employment and such <br /> other duties as the City Engineer shall, from time to time, author- <br /> ize and direct. <br /> Section 18: INSPECTION DEPARTMENT <br /> There shall be the following named officers and employees <br /> in the Inspection Department, to-wit: <br /> One Building Inspector; One Electrical Inspector; One <br /> Plumbing Inspector; One Office Helper (part time). <br /> It shall be the duty of such officers and employees to per <br /> form the duties relating to such offices as defined by the ordinances <br /> of such city, and such other duties as the Commissioner of Public <br /> Works shall authorize and direct. <br /> • <br /> Section 19: STREET DEPARTMENT <br /> There shall be the following named officers and assistants <br /> in the Street Department, to-wit: <br /> -4- <br />
