RECIE[VE)
Comment responses: FEB 0 2 2021
CITY OF EVERETT
Permit Services
1. The applicable building code(s) should be stated.
Response: Applicable codes have been included in the plans on sheet 3of4
2. The proposed project involves converting a portion of the single-family residence
into an adult family home. See the following link for the required forms and
documents: https://everettwa.gov/DocumentCenterNiew/108/Adult-family-home-
checklist-PDF
3. Continuing with the previous comment, the access to the shower may not be
compliant for an AFH. Review requirements and revise as needed.
Response: See revised shower dimensions that confirms shower complies with
AFH requirements. Grab bars will be installed per the grab bar details shown.
4. The plans label the floors as "Basement" and "Level 1". The lower level does not
meet the definition for a basement. The floors should be relabeled accordingly,
such as Floors or Levels 1 and 2.
Response: Floor labelling has been revised to Levels 1 and 2.
5. The floor plans do not appear to accurately depict the dimensions of the
house. For example, the front of the house has bumped-out areas and the
bedrooms and living room; the entry way is recessed. However, the Level 1
Floor plan shows a uniform front. The plans should be revised. Gridline showing
how the two level align are recommended. Overall building dimensions should
also be stated.
Response: Level 1 and 2 floor plans have been adjusted to accurately depict the
dimensions of the house.
6. The front entry deck is not consistent between the different level floor plans.
Response: Front entry deck has been adjusted to accurately depict its
dimensions. No scope of work in this area.
7. The building appears to include unpermitted work. This work must be shown as
new construction and detailed in the drawings. Alternatively, the work should be
shown for demolition.
a. Roof over the Second Floor deck.
Response: Roof over this deck will be demolished.
b. 16-foot by 30-foot deck and roof at the First Floor level.
