Their findings indicate that installing a back�vater valve on your property avould be beneficial. Please review the enclosed report. Previously, you sig�ed the Backwater Valve Authorization Form authorizing the City lo (nstall a backwater valve at your property. Based on the inspection report, we are proceeding with the installation. The City's contractor, Welwest Construction, will be contacting you in February to schedule the work. This will require some excavation on your properry. The CiLy will provide you on-site trafning on the operation and maintenance of the back�vater valve. Malnfenance of the valve and the plumbing, sewer, and dreinage on your property are your responsibility. The Inspection Identified additional sife dralnage and plumbing deficiencies in your private drainage and plumbing system. These include: • Downspoutr discharge too ciose to the foundation and could be re-routed using splash blocks • Existing cast Iron clean out In basement will not accept existing clean out cap These deficiencies are your responsibility to address, as you desire. The City is not responsible for futwe sewer or sfnrm damages that may result From improper malntenance of, or deficiendes �•�ithin, your private plumhiny and drain�ge system.
