I received a copy of a comment letter from the City dated August 1, 2016. At this time <br /> we are only working on the elevator shaft widening and the associated improvements required <br /> for the new elevator. That letter had several comments, but I will be addressing the structural <br /> comments in the order they were received. <br /> 1) At this time only the elevator shaft portion of the project(phase 1) is being resubmitted. <br /> Details for framing the penthouse are included. <br /> 2) Seismic resistance of the penthouse was considered in the attached analysis. <br /> 3) The corridor live load was upped to 100 psf. <br /> 4) I respectfully request that the analysis of the exterior fire escape be addressed in a <br /> separate submittal. <br /> 5) The roof snow load is 25 psf. <br /> 6) There are no special inspections required for the phase 1 work. <br /> Attached with this letter is a set of revised plans and supporting analysis.
