Please verify separated and non-separated occupancies, and incidental uses in the code <br /> analysis. <br /> Egress <br /> 1. The penthouse machine room should be separated from the exit access stair by a one <br /> hour fire barrier, detailed on the drawings. Landings are required on both sides of a <br /> door accessing the machine room, per IBC section 1008.1.5. <br /> 2. Please provide egress calculations and paths of egress for all occupancies in the <br /> building. Two means of egress are required for the residential and commercial <br /> occupancies where the occupant load calculated by floor area and occupancy/use, <br /> exceeds the values in IBC table 1015.1, or common path of travel is exceeded, per IBC <br /> table 1014.3, <br /> 3. The elevator cab interior clear dimensions should be shown on the drawings, to include <br /> dimensions for the Fire Department stretcher, and the star of life signage, per IBC <br /> section 3002.4, as amended by EMC 16.01 M, unless this is shown in permit <br /> B1606-032. Please indicate whether this is new work under this permit, or <br /> existing work based on permit B1606-032. <br /> 4. Emergency signs for the elevators should be shown on the drawings, per IBC section <br /> 3002.3. <br /> 5. Egress and emergency lighting should be shown on the drawings, per IBC sections <br /> 1006.3, 1011.1, and Table 1015.1. <br /> a. A discernible path of egress should be shown with illuminated exit signs on the <br /> drawings, per IBC section 1011.1, where two exits are required. <br /> b. Emergency lighting should be shown on the drawings, per IBC section 1006.1, <br /> where two exits are required, to include exterior exits. <br /> 6. Please indicate corridor smoke detectors per IBC section 907.2.8.2, room smoke <br /> detectors on the reflected ceiling plans, per IBC section 907,2.11.1. <br /> 7. If carbon monoxide alarms or a detection system is required, based on fuel-burning <br /> appliances/equipment in the building, please identify the type and location of that <br /> equipment, and please locate the detectors on the plans, per IBC section 908.7 and <br /> 908.7.1. <br /> 8. Stair and floor number signage should be shown on the plans, per IBC 1022.9. <br /> 9. Please identify the egress path from the stairwells to show the path to the public way, <br /> per IBC sections 1027.1 and 1027.5. <br /> 10.
