Please identify and detail the typical fire rated penetrations. <br /> 2. Please submit tested assembly construction to maintain one hour fire barriers at new <br /> bearing walls, posts, beams,joists, columns, and other supporting structural elements. <br /> a. The drawings should include tested assemblies for new wall, floor ceiling, and <br /> roof ceiling assemblies, to include sound insulation testing requirements of 50 or <br /> more between residential floors and walls, for airborne or structural borne <br /> sounds, per IBC Section 1207. <br /> b. Please include UL design tested assemblies on the drawings, as referenced from <br /> sheet LS1.1. <br /> 3. New doors should be identified in a door schedule, indicating size, rating, hardware, <br /> elevation view, and materials. <br /> a. New doors in the path of egress should indicate hardware that is operable <br /> without tight grasping, pinching or twisting of the wrist, per IBC section <br /> 1008.1.9.1. <br /> b. The occupant load of the restaurant determines hardware and other egress <br /> requirements. Please submit occupancy calculations based on the actual layout. <br /> More detail is required for the restaurant, to include the location of kitchen, <br /> furniture, bar, etc. Otherwise, please show this space as a future tenant space <br /> on this submittal. <br /> 4. Please identify the primary and secondary roof drainage systems on the new elevator <br /> machine room roof, per UPC sections 1101.11.1 and 1101.11.2. <br /> 5. Steel construction will require one hour enclosure, within the wall where rated walls or <br /> floors are provided. The one-hour tested assemblies should be shown in detail on the <br /> architectural drawings where the steel is shown as exposed on the structural drawings. <br /> 6. Please detail the guard required at the penthouse level, per IFC section 1104.6. <br /> 7. The new stair runs at the first floor, mezzanine, penthouse roof and basement should be <br /> identified on the drawings and detailed for rise, run, handrails, guards (if applicable), <br /> materials, and shown in elevation, section and plan graphically different than existing <br /> stair runs, with a legend if the graphic method differs from commonly accepted graphic <br /> standards. Please refer to IBC section 1009 for code requirements. <br /> 8. Construction sections are required at all new shafts, penthouse construction, stairs, <br /> elevators, lifts, and mezzanines, indicating floor heights, overall building height, and <br /> stair riser calculations at all new stairs.
