Please review and
respond to the comments below. The original comments are below, recheck comments follow
in blue.
General
Electrical permit application #E1712-056 states that the existing wiring within the units
will be re-done. The building plans should show the location of each smoke detector.
The smoke detectors must be hardwired, provided with battery backup and
interconnected within each unit. Section 907.2.11.2
A smoke detector should be shown in the room leading to the sleeping room
within the manager's unit.
Electrical permit application E1712-056 proposes to rewire the building floor by floor.
Load calculations in accordance with NEC Article 220.16 must be provided and approved
prior to issuance of that permit.
Deferred Submittal — not received yet.
Interior demolition permit B1712-013 includes revising the exterior windows to vinyl.
This will be required to be approved by Planning. Please contact Kembra Landry.
Approved by Planning and added back onto that permit.
The minimum ceiling heights in the habitable spaces on the mezzanine should be shown
at 7 feet (inspection reports are stating that the ceiling clearance is much less than 7
feet). IPMC Section 404.3
The kitchen is purported to be less than 7'. As this is a retro-active standard, the
height should be shown on the plans.
