Please review and
respond to the comments below.
In order for the processing of your application to continue, it will be necessary to provide the
Building Division with two new sets of revised construction documents reflecting the corrections
requested. Please include a response letter which indicates how the corrections were resolved.
General •
1. Please revise submittal information so that permit scope shown on B1606-032 is shown
as existing on permit submittal B1606-075. Permit B1606-032 is missing required
information, as noted below. Having the same information shown as new on both
permits creates confusion in fees, plan review and inspection for scope of the permit.
2. A separate deferred mechanical permit application with drawings is required for all
building permits submitted. A separate deferred Type I hood permit application with
drawings is also required for the restaurant.
3. A separate corrections letter will be issued with any additional comments for new
information shown on the B1606-075 permit submittal.
4. Cover drawing or code sheet should include applicable codes and standards.
5. A code analysis should be shown on the drawings, to include the construction type of
the building and the rated assembly requirements provided at new work on stairs,
elevator, and exit access stairways. The drawings should indicate specific suppression
and detection systems (NFPA 72 fire alarm) to be submitted as deferred permits.
Please indicate all other deferred submittals, to include mechanical.
6. Please indicate in the code analysis if NFPA 13 wet or dry sprinklers will be used in the
attic, and provide a detail showing tented insulation on the drawings for a wet system.
7. Please indicate in the code analysis the compliance with manual fire alarm system for R-
2, per IBC section 907.2.9.1 and automatic smoke detection system, per IBC section
907.2.8.2 and 907.5.
8.
