Proposed Location of PUD Return Line Flow Meter
PUD Return Line Control Valves: The PUD return line control valve work includes the
installation of control valves at the junction of the 72" PUD return line and the 60" PUD
return line feeding the WFP Flocculation basin. It is anticipated that two valves will be
installed on the 72" line and one valve will be installed on the 60" line as shown in
Figure 3. The valve on the 60" line also allow for the isolation of the PUD Return Line
Flow Meter which is described above. Installation of the valves is intended to give the
City and PUD improved flow control on the PUD return line. All valves are planned to be
housed in seismically stabilized containment vaults. Flow in the PUD return line can be
interrupted for short durations. It's anticipated this work will be performed through short
shutdowns of the PUD return line which must be coordinated with Snohomish PUD.
