W <br /> Vehicle TechnicalV Consultants Inc. <br /> Quality Control <br /> VTC will review all actions taken by the manufacturer to correct discrepancies noted during the <br /> production line inspection phase of the project.Continual evaluation and audit of the in-house <br /> quality assurance program will be conducted to ensure satisfactory correction of problems. <br /> VTC will perform a configuration audit on the first completed bus to ensure compliance to the <br /> specifications. <br /> Pre-Delivery Activity <br /> After the buses are assembled,pass all production inspections,engine/transmission and water <br /> test,they become the responsibility of the manufacturer's Quality Control Department for final <br /> rework and outfit prior to buy-off and shipping.Normally the manufacturer will perform its road <br /> test of the buses before presenting them to the inspection team for final acceptance inspection of <br /> the bus interior exterior,underbody,and operating tests and inspections since these sometimes <br /> must be shifted to accommodate available rework shop space and available personnel. In any <br /> case,the following are outlines of some of the type of checks and rechecks our team would be <br /> performing until all noted items are satisfactorily resolved. VTC will verify all Items as Called <br /> Out in the Contract. <br /> Interior <br /> • Driver Controls-Verify accessibility and function of all switches and controls,grouping of <br /> non-OEM controls,identification of prime controls,and door control function. <br /> • Instrumentation-Verify accessibility and function,and readability of instrument and <br /> indicators with steering wheel in straight ahead position. <br /> • Interior Trim General Requirements-Verify absence of inaccessible maintenance areas, <br /> protuberances,and sharp or abrasive edges. <br /> • Trim panels-Verify trim materials, surfaces,and carpeting or panels of textured stainless <br /> steel, anodized aluminum,or plastic as specified;verify paint areas free of dirt,run,and <br /> orange peel. <br /> • Exit Signal-If specified,verify presence and function of chimes switch tapes located near <br /> interior lighting fixtures with driver-controlled by-pass switch. <br /> • Inside Mirror-Verify presence and adjustability of inside mirrors and that placement does <br /> not obscure right outside mirror. <br /> • Radio System-Verify presence of specified protected lead as applicable. <br /> VIPCVehicle Technical Consultants Inc. <br /> Box 697 <br /> PH:951.342.3000 Fax:866.211.4254 Beaumont,Ca 92223 <br />
