Their findirgs irdicate that installing a <br />backwater valve on your properiy would be 6eneFicial. Please review the enclosed report. <br />Previou:ly, you signed the Backwater Valve Authorization Form authorizing the City to install a <br />backwater valve at your property. Based on the inspedion report, we are proceeding v�ith the <br />installaUon. The Citv's contractor, Archer �onsbvction, will be contactingyoa in March to <br />schedule the work. This will require some excavation on your property. <br />The Ciry will provioe you on-site training on the operation and maintenance of the backwater valve. <br />M�intenance of the valve and the plumbing, sewer, and dr3inage on your property are your <br />responsibility. The Inspec;inn identified additional site drainage and plumbing deficiencies in your <br />private drainage and plumbing sys[em. These indude: <br />• Cleanout located ou[side the house is broken and needs repair or replacement <br />. Area drain at hack of steps is hroken and severely clogged and needs to be cleaned or <br />replaced <br />• The side sewer is flat �vith poor coimedions and possible breales and should be replaced <br />These deficiencies are your responsibility to address, as you de�ire.
