' <br /> • <br /> OPIAPTEK V <br /> STOPPING, STANDING AND PARKING <br /> Section 51: STOPPING, ST'A v3: ING OR PAx IiNG PROHIBITED IN <br /> SP HCIFI D PI .CKS. <br /> (a) No person shall stop, stand or park a vehicle, <br /> except when necessar to avoid conflict with other traffic or in <br /> compliance with the directions of a peace officer or traffic control <br /> aevice, in any of the following p1a. ces; <br /> (1) On a sidewalk or parking strip; <br /> (2) In front of a public or private driveway or with- <br /> in five (5) feet of the end of the curb radius <br /> leading; thereto, except in the parking meter zone <br /> or elsewhere where official parkin; meters, signs <br /> or markins designate a parking space nearer a <br /> driveway; <br /> (3) within an intersection; <br /> (4) 'witnin fifteen 015) feet of a fire hydrant ; <br /> (5) un a crosswalk; <br /> (6) within twenty (20) feet of a crosswalk at an <br /> intersection except in the parking meter zone or <br /> elsewhere where official parkin`; meters, signs or <br /> markings designate a parkin space nearer a <br /> crosswalk; <br /> (7) Within thirty (30) feet upon the approach to any <br /> flashing, beacon, stoo sign, or traffic control <br /> signal located at the side of a roadway, except <br /> in the parking meter zone or elsewhere where <br /> official parking meters, signs or markings desig <br /> nate a parking space nearer such beacon, sign or <br /> signal; <br /> (8) between a safety zone and the adjacent curb or <br /> within twenty-five (25) feet of points on the curb <br /> immediately opposite the ends of a safety zone, <br /> unless a different distance is indicated by signs <br /> or markings; <br /> O 'within thirty (30) feet of the nearest rail of a <br /> railroad crossing; <br /> (10) Within fifty (50) feet of the driveway entrance <br /> to any fire or police station or on the side of <br /> a street opposite the entrance to any fire <br /> station within seventy-five (75) feet of said <br /> entrance when properly marked; <br /> (11) Alongside or opposite any street excavation or <br /> obstruction when such stopping, standing; or park- <br /> ing wools obstruct traffic; <br /> (12) On the roadway sic.e of any vehicle stopped or <br /> parked at the edge or curb of a street ldouble <br /> parking) ; <br /> (13 ) Upon any bridge or other elevated structure upon <br /> a highway, or within a highway tunnel or under- <br /> pass ; <br /> (14) At any place where official signs pronibit <br /> stopping; <br /> (15) On any street in such a manner as to block or <br /> interfere with the free use of the street, or any <br /> alley or driveway. <br /> -20- <br />
