Y f <br /> Section 148: SPACING OF MOTOR TRUCKS IN MOTION. The <br /> operator of a motor truck when traveling upon a highway outside of <br /> a business district or district where residences are located shall <br /> not follow another motor truck within one hundred (100) feet, but <br /> this shall not be construed to prevent one such truck from over- <br /> taking and passing another. <br /> Section 149: ANGLE PARKING VuHILE LOADING AND UNLOADING <br /> PROHIBITED ON CERTAIN STREETS. No person shall angle park while <br /> loading or unloading any vehicle on any arterial highway. <br /> Section 150: RULES REGARDING LOADS. It shall be unlawful <br /> to drive or operate any vehicle of such weight or in such condition, <br /> or so constructed or loaded, as to cause delay in traffic, or <br /> accident or injury to any person or property. (whenever the load on <br /> any vehicle extends to the rear four (4) feet or more beyond the <br /> bed or body of such vehicle, there shall be displayed at the extreme <br /> rear end of such load, during hours of darkness, a red light or <br /> lantern displaying a light plainly visible from a distance of at <br /> least five hundred (500) feet to the sides and rear. The red light <br /> or red lantern required under this section shall be in addition to <br /> the red rear light or lights an a reflector required upon every <br /> vehicle. lit any other time there shall be displayed at the extreme <br /> rear end of such load a distinctly red cloth flag which shall be <br /> suspended on a frame or other similar device in such a manner that <br /> it will display a red surface on two (2) sides for a square area <br /> of not less than one hundred forty-four (144) square inches in <br /> approximately the same plane. <br /> Section 151: CERTAIN LOADS PROHIBITED. No person shall <br /> drag or haul any timber or any articles along or over any street in <br /> such a manner that a portion of the same shall rest upon or come <br /> in contact with the surface of such street; nor shall any person on <br /> any planked, paved or macadamized street lock the wheel of any <br /> vehicle by the method commonly known as "rough lock`, nor by any <br /> method whereby anything other than the tire of such wheel or a <br /> smooth shoe shall come in contact with the surface of the street. <br /> No person shall unload a vehicle in such a manner as to <br /> cause damage to the surface of the street. <br /> No person shall haul any manure in any business district. <br /> No person shall load or transport any metals or metal <br /> vessels or materials in such a manner as to cause loud noises to the <br /> disturbance of the peace. <br /> Section 152E CERTAIN VEHICLES TO BE KEPT OFF STREET <br /> V¢HEN NOT IN USE. No person having charge of a vehicle ordinarily <br /> drawn by draft animals shall permit or allow such vehicle to remain <br /> in any street or alley unless such draft animals are attached <br /> thereto, nor shall any person having charge of a trailer permit or <br /> allow the same to remain in any street or alley unless attached <br /> to a motor vehicle by which it may be propelled or drawn: Provided, <br /> that in case of accident such trailer may be moved to the side of <br /> the street, and if a good and sufficient red signal be displayed at <br /> both ends thereof during the hours of darkness may be permitted or <br /> allowed to remain for a period not exceeding twenty-four (24) hours <br /> -44- <br />
