•
equipment were cleaned and sanitized. All shelving was moved and cleaned under in
our stockroom and walk-ins the legs on the shelving were also cleaned and sanitized.
They placed several de-humidifiers in the restaurant overnight. They will be providing a
detailed list of exactly what they did later today.
Debbie Gandrud called the City of Everett Public Works Department Friday morning at
9:OOAM, she explained what had happened and was told to go to their website
www.ci.everett.wa.us and follow the instructions to fill out a form for claims against the
city. The city representative then connected her to dispatch and she reported the
problem Steve Hoffman, he took the information and the description of what happened
and told her that he had entered it into their data base. She was directed by Steve
Hoffman to go to the city clerk's office and pick up a Tort Claim Form to complete. (City
Clerk Office, 2930 Wetmore, Everett WA) Debbie also called the Office of the City Clerk
(425-257-8610)and spoke with the City Clerk Susan Fuller on Friday morning. Susan
explained what was needed and that the form needed to be turned into the office in
person.
Debbie Gandrud then called the Snohomish County Health Department Food Safety
division and spoke with Randy Durant, she explained what had occurred and the time
line it occurred, and he asked her several questions about the food we had prepped and
any open products, all of which had been discarded. Randy asked her to email him with
a time line of what we had done so that he would have a record of what had occurred
and what we had done. Randy stated that after we had the food preparation surfaces
cleaned and sanitized and all product inspected and discarded if needed we needed to
have the building inspected before we could begin any food preparation. Debbie called
Randy Durant(425-339-8748)to schedule the inspection as soon as this work was
completed.
Randy Durant of the Snohomish County Health Department Food Safety Division
inspected the restaurant at 2:30pm and gave us the okay to begin preparing food to
reopen. We were able to open the doors for business again at 4:00PM on Friday
August 30, 2013.
We are compiling a detailed record of all food and paper products discarded and hours
spent to clean and sanitize. This is a work in progress as not all invoices have been
received at this time. Costs incurred to date are$5,277.83.
