StOrarra Tuesday September 3, 2013 Dear Customer: By now you are sure to be aware of the rain storm event last Thursday August 29 thatsent 2 feet or more of water running down our street. It was reported that this 100 year storm dropped an inch and a half of rain In 20 minutes on our city, Unfortunately your storage unit was affected bythis water and, undo ubtedly•water entered your storage space and may have caused.damage to your property. We take seriously our commitment to provide you with a safe place to -store your valuables but obviously this event was beyond 'ourcontrol. Attached Is a letter from the city acknowledging the.event and making recommendations for cleanup as well as Instructions •about how to go about -filing a claim. While we can't.make promises, the city does have ahistory on paying these types of claims so our recommendation would be to document everything related to your damages and cleanup and to go thru the submittal process in the hopes of financial recovery for damages. Water restoration companies (and their equipment) are extremely busy due to the widespread nature of the event but we do expect to have multiple dehumidifiers with the next 24-48 hours available to assist 1n minimizing additional damage to your property. With your permission we would like to place these units inside your storage space to help extract moisture that may be present that could cause mold to grow and further damage property. We have made a dumpster available on the property for your use to get rid of wet cardboard or other damaged property that you deem unsuitable for use. We recommend you or your representative get.to your Items as soon as possible to -salvage what you can and to document damages for claim purposes. We will also, have a list of professional water restoration companies in the office that maybe able to assist you with cleanup and/or repair work. We are truly sorry for the loss you have incurred and want to do whatever we -can to assist.
